Buckfield 56, Sacopee Valley 51

BUCKFIELD — Austin Dooley was on fire from long distance, hitting for four 3-pointers to lead all scorers with 17 points as Buckfield edged Sacopee Valley 56-51 in varsity boys’ basketball action Monday.

Alan Hedrick scored 16 for the Bucks (4-7) while Kasey Robertson had 14 and hauled in six rebounds.

Jeff Taylor led the Hawks (1-9) with 15 points.

Lewiston 66, Morse 27

LEWISTON — Jake Dumas and Jeff Turcotte scored 12 points each and Turcotte hauled in 12 rebounds to lead Lewiston to a 66-27 win over Morse in boys’ basketball action Monday.

Cody Mousseau and Shawn Ricker added nine apiece for the Blue Devils (5-7), including one each from beyond the arc.

Matt Munster led Morse (0-12) with nine points.

Hockey

Lewiston 6, Thornton Academy 3

LEWISTON — Sam Cloutier exploded for four goals and added an assist and Cam Poussard was solid between the pipes, stopping 28 of 31 shots he faced, to lead Lewiston to a 6-3 win over Thornton Academy in boys’ hockey action Monday.

Colt Steele and Desmond Gagne also scored for the unbeaten Blue Devils (9-0-1), who were a perfect 2-for-2 on the power play.

Rob Downing led the Trojans (6-4-0) with a pair of goals, and C.J. Maksut added a goal and two assists. Joe Ferrante stopped 23 shots in the loss.
