INDUSTRY — The Giddy Up and Go 4-H Horse Club will hold its fourth annual Hay Raiser on Saturday, Feb. 26, for the Double B Equine Rescue.

Every year the Giddy Up and Go members ask various horse and animal owners in the area to donate bales of hay or money to help feed the 20 or more horses that are rescued each year and cared for by the facility. The donations will help feed abused horses that are sheltered at the rescue.

Hay and other donations will be picked up on Saturday morning and delivered to the rescue by club members. Members will meet at the park and ride in Farmington at 9:30 a.m. Saturday to coordinate the final pick-ups.

Last year’s Hay Raiser resulted in 100 bales of hay which can feed 20 horses for 10 days. The Hay Raiser also raised a little over $300.

Anyone who wants to give hay or a monetary donation to help the horses should call 778-3856 and ask for Janine Winn, club leader.
