DEAR SUN SPOTS: The Congregational Church of East Sumner will host its second annual plant/yard/bake on May 14 from 9 a.m. to noon. Plants are mostly perennial flowers from local gardens with annuals and vegetable seedlings also for sale.

Yard sale items and baked goods will be offered. Lots of variety and great prices. Everything will be under the shelter of the new pavilion in the church lot, so weather is not a problem. All proceeds will benefit the work of the church.

At 6:30 that evening, there will be a free community movie. Refreshments will be sold.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Where can one obtain a listing of craft shows, festivals and fairs for Maine for 2011? — Nicole Dionne, nicolenjamie96@aol.com

ANSWER: Sun Spots does not know of any one place where you can find out about all craft fairs. In the Sun Journal they are often listed in Sun Spots or in Check It Out, which is usually on Page B3. Another media source is the Community Calendar (under Events) at MPBN.net.

There are several websites for crafters, including www.mainecrafts.org, www.craftsinmaine.com,www.mainecraftsguild.com and www.unitedmainecraftsmen.com.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I would like to know if and where there are craft shows going on this summer and what procedure would I have to go through to sell my crafts at these shows?

Also, would you know if there will be a new series of “Project Runway” on Lifetime or the Style network coming up this summer? — No Name via email

ANSWER: Groups that hold craft fairs often rent tables at their events. If you check the sources in the answer to the letter above, you should find some venues for your crafts. Most of the craft fairs that write to Sun Spots advertise their tables for rent at about $10 to $20.

Sun Spots answered your second question in Wednesday’s column.
