AUBURN — Hudson Bus rolled to victory in its first two Auburn Suburbam Little League minor division baseball games of the season.

Hudson cruised past ENEFCO, 11-1. Chase Martin, Jacob Willette, Matt Scholer and Simon Hayes led the ENEFCO effort. Jack Hart, Dan Milks and Josh White paced Hudson with three hits each, followed by Jacob Jackson, Ryan Arp and Kameron Coolong each with two hits.

On Tuesday, Hudson Bus came out on top in a great game, 6-4, over M & P Auto. The game showed some excellent defensive plays by both teams. Spencer Morrill and Cameron Sturgis sparked M&P with three hits. Drew Bennett, Tiger Hopkins and Shane Arthur each had two. White made some terrific defensive plays for Hudson. Offensively, Austin Fournier, Hart and Milks had three hits apiece. Kayden Butler, White and Coolong each laced a pair of hits.

In other minors action, ENEFCO held off Hammond Lumber to win its second Auburn Suburban Little League minor baseball game of the season, 2-1, in a game that featured great defense and sportsmanship from both teams.

Hammond was led offensively by Jared Schofield and Michael Braga with three hits apiece. Hammond players all turned in some solid defense throughout the game. ENEFCO had a balanced offensive attack led by Michael Potvin (three hits), Finnegan Thistle with two hits and Konnor SImpson who also pitched in with two hits. Other repeat hitters for ENEFCO included RJ Nichols, Chase Martin and Simon Hayes.

ASLL Major Baseball

AUBURN — Willis fell to AFF, 16-3, in Auburn Suburban major baseball. Noah Moreshead, Tyler Blanchard, Austin Cox and Kyle Herald combined with nine hits for the Firemen. Pitching duties fell to Moreshead, Blanchard and Noah Yarnevich. On the Willis side, Cole Butler, Race Bouchard, Ethan Brown and Nick Hathaway contributed on the mound with hits by Bouchard, Butler and Ethan Brown.

Elliot Ave.

LEWISTON — In a tightly contested Elliot Ave. Little League major baseball contest on a damp, drizzly evening, Skelton, Taintor, & Abbott knocked off previously undefeated United Ambulance, 5-4.

United got the ball rolling early on an RBI double by Jean-Luc Dostie and an RBI single by Grant Hartley to take a 2-0 lead. The medics added another run on a triple by Elias Atkins, who scored on a throwing error. United made it 4-0 early in the third on singles by Dostie and Hartley, combined with a wild pitch and a passed ball.

Skelton rallied to tie the score in the bottom of the frame, loading the bases on a walk to Nick Poland and singles by Jeremy Hepler and David Tanguay. Sean O’Donnell Jr. drove in a run with an RBI single, and Jeremy Rancourt followed with a base-clearing double.

The score remained tied 4-4 into the bottom of the sixth, when O’Donnell singled, Rancourt reached on a fielders’ choice, and Ben Chasse drove in the game-winner.

Hartley allowed four earned runs while fanning nine. Rancourt allowed four earned and whiffed 10. Ben Chasse got the win in relief, while Damien St.Pierre suffered the tough-luck loss.
