AUGUSTA — Police in Maine say a 34-year-old man is facing charges he broke into an Augusta restaurant, raided the bar and then fell asleep in the basement.

Police say Wyatt Daril Wilson was charged with burglary, criminal mischief and theft after police roused him from sleep inside Lisa’s Restaurant on Monday morning.

Police say an employee opening the restaurant searched the building and found Wilson after noticing several liquor bottles out of place.

Augusta police Sgt. Christopher Massey told the Kennebec Journal police don’t know how long Wilson was in the building. Wilson told police he had no recollection of the events.

Massey says Wilson was extremely intoxicated.

Wilson is being held for lack of $5,000 bail.
