PARIS — Celebration Barn Theater will present variety artist and new vaudevillian Randy Judkins on Saturday, June 18. His one-man, multicharacter show, “Comedy with Character” will feature juggling, mime, magic and a few surprises.

Judkins, one of Maine’s most celebrated performing artists, has done shows in 25 states, Canada and Europe. He also appeared in a “CBS This Morning” segment filmed on location in Burlington, Vt.

He has instructed at the Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey’s Clown College in Florida and served as a character consultant for Tri-Star Pictures as well as a Circus of the Stars trainer in Hollywood. He has also instructed physical comedy at the Juilliard School of Drama in New York City.

In 2001, Judkins founded the Maine Hysterical Society, a comedy trio that sings humorous songs about Maine and performs character sketches. The trio performed with Lucie Arnaz at the legendary Birdland jazz nightclub in New York City in July 2008.

Judkins has been master of ceremonies at the Patrick Dempsey Challenge’s Champions of Hope banquet for the past two years and cycled 100 miles the next day to help raise money for families dealing with cancer.

He has competed in the popular Beach to Beacon 10K Road Race for five times and, in 2005, ran the entire 6.2 miles while juggling three balls. He finished in under an hour and never dropped a ball.

The show will begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $14 for adults, $12 for seniors and $8 for children and students. Call the box office at 743-8452. Celebration Barn Theater is at 190 Stock Farm Road. For more information, visit www.CelebrationBarn.com.
