BETHEL — Jeb Clark led an explosive Bethel/Locke Mills offense with six hits — including a triple and a home run — in two games to lead his squad to an impressive doubleheader sweep of Mechanic Falls in Zone 3 American Legion baseball action on Saturday.
Clark rapped his triple and his home run in the first game of Saturday’s twin bill, an 11-0 Bethel/Locke Mills victory. Corey Howard also went deep for the victors, while Danny Whitney picked up the pitching win with a five-inning, two-hit shutout.
In the second game, Howard again went deep, catcher Alec Manning had a pair of hits, including a double, and Spencer Couch and Kyle Peterson also had multiple hits in a 15-5 victory. Couch was the winning pitcher in the nightcap.
