FREEPORT— L.L. Bean’s Summer in the Park will kick off with a 7:30 p.m. concert by two-time, Grammy-nominated soul musician Ryan Shaw on Saturday, July 2, in L.L. Bean’s Discovery Park.

Other events include the annual L.L. Bean 10K road race and family fun run, the town’s Fourth of July parade on Main Street and a fireworks display.

On Monday, July 4, folk trio Red Horse — Eliza Gilkyson, John Gorka and Lucy Kaplansky — will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. at Discovery Park.

Summer in the Park will continue each weekend through Labor Day with events that include concerts, a farmer’s market from 2 to 5:30 p.m. on Friday, a kidsfest, a food festival and Shakespeare in the Park.
