PORTLAND — Officials say a 15-year-old boy died after being pulled from a swimming pool at an apartment complex in Portland.
Police told WMTW-TV they got a call just after 7 p.m. Tuesday about a suspected drowning at the Princeton Pines apartment complex on Forest Avenue. The boy was pulled from the pool by firefighters and paramedics and taken to Maine Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 7:50 p.m.
Officials say the teenager lived in one of the apartments and was swimming alone before his body was discovered by other residents. His name has not been released.
