Coach: Dick Mynahan (24th year)

Last year’s record: 9-2, lost in Western C championship

Returning players: Seniors — Zach Splude (TB/LB), Cameron Graf (WR/TE/CB), Chase Hunter (G/NG); Juniors — Ryan Riordan (QB/DB), Kyle Sheehan (FB/MLB).

Key losses: Tobey Harrington (RB/DB), Josh Pomerleau (RB/DB), Mike McNamara (LB), Luke Caron (QB), John Crafts (C/DE), Matt Nicholson (G/LB), Nick Dingley (G/DE).

Promising newcomers: Seniors — Dalton Dunphy (OL/DL), Cody Donovan (OL/DL); Juniors— Mason Haley (RB), Casey Garrison (T/DT); Sophomores — Jordan Torres (REB/DB), Quincy Thompson (RB), Jacob Bremmer (OL/DL), Nate Gamache (OL/DL).

Overview: Two tough losses to Yarmouth abbreviated what was otherwise a typical, gritty Lisbon season in 2010. The Greyhounds were successful in the face of injuries, ineligibility, a lack of size and any other obstacles that wandered into the way. Riordan started two playoff games at quarterback as a result of that shorthanded situation. That experience is likely to pay dividends this fall. Lisbon isn’t any bigger in the backfield, but they have more quickness and depth than Mynahan can recall in many years. Lisbon should be in the mix with Yarmouth and Traip in the Campbell Conference southern division once again.

Coach’s comment: “It looks like the type of team that could get better every week, which is what you like to see.” — Coach Dick Mynahan
