LEWISTON — Daniel and Kathy Meehl of Lewiston are pleased to announce the engagement of their son, Daniel Jack Meehl, to Tien Vu, daughter of David Hy Vu and Nhan Dinh of Worcester, Mass.

Miss Vu graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 2001, earning a bachelor’s degree in engineering, and received her master’s degree from Clark University in 2008. She is a supervisor of engineering at EMC Corporation.

Mr. Meehl received a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Northeastern University in 2007. He is currently working at an early stage start-up company creating innovative products focused around sports analytics, being used by Major League Baseball and ESPN. He also founded a small software company that designs products for mobile devices.

The wedding is planned for Oct. 1 in Sutton, Mass.
