MONMOUTH — Brooke Lawrence punched in a pair of goals during Lisbon’s four-goal outburst in the first half as the Greyhounds (4-2-1) rolled to a 4-0 victory over Monmouth Academy (5-3) in a girls’ soccer game Saturday.

The teams played through a scoreless second half, but the damage had already been done by Lisbon.

Lisbon’s Kayla Angelico and Paige Galligan also scored unassisted goals. Greyhound goalie Alexa Harmon made six saves while her counterpart, Monmouth’s Natalie Young, made 12 saves.

Dirigo 2, Mt. Abram 0

SALEM — Michelle Morrison’s goal in the first half was all Dirigo and goalie Natasha Deroche needed as the Cougars rolled to a 2-0 victory over Mt. Abram on Saturday.

The other goal for Dirigo (6-0-1) was scored on an own goal.

Deroche finished with four saves, while Allie Lopez made three saves in goal for Mt. Abram (4-3-1).

Lewiston 3, Brewer 1

LEWISTON — Senior right wing Kenzi Sullivan converted a relay from Lauren Lessard for the eventual game-winner as Lewiston notched a 3-1 victory over Brewer.

The Blue Devils (3-4) took a 2-1 lead into the midpoint. Meagan Mathon chipped in with a goal and an assist.

Cassie Robitaille scored the Witches’ only goal with the assistance of a slippery and wet field. Goalie Emily Dixon attempted to stop Robitaille’s shot, but a slip only partially deflected the ball which went into the net just the same.

Madison 3, Spruce Mountain 1

JAY — Kirsten Wood scored the eventual game-winning goal in the first half as Madison drifted to a 3-1 victory over Spruce Mountain.

Mellisa White and Courtney Taylor rounded out the scoring for the Bulldogs (3-0).

Venese Barnes scored the lone Phoenix goal in the losing effort.

Goalie Emily Keene made nine saves for Spruce Mountain, while goalie Savanna Kandiko turned away four to earn the win in net for Madison.

Skowhegan 9,

Oxford Hills 1

SKOWHEGAN — Sarah Finnemore recorded four goals to lead Skowhegan to a 9-1 victory over Oxford Hills in KVAC field hockey action Saturday afternoon.

The Indians struck for six unanswered goals in the first half. Finnemore had three tallies and Michaela Michonski provided a pair in the stanza.

Abby Angevine scored the lone goal for the Vikings.

Goalies Abi Egan and Shannon Fillebrown made seven saves for Oxford Hills, while Ann Provencal prevented one to earn the win in net for Skowhegan.

Boys’ soccer

Lewiston 7, Brewer 2

BREWER — Sophomore midfielder Yusuf Yama took a pass from Eric Michaud and broke down the left side of the field for the eventual-game winning goal as Lewiston coasted to a 7-2 victory over Brewer in KVAC boys’ soccer.

Mohamed Ali and Abdullah Shaleh pitched in with a pair of goals each for the Blue Devils (5-1-1).

Lewiston had taken a 7-0 lead before the Witches managed to break the plane of the opposing net. Josh Theriault and Marshall Maxsimic collected the two late-game goals.

Cape Elizabeth 3,

Gray-New Gloucester 1

GRAY — Tim Lavallee scored a pair of goals to lift Cape Elizabeth to a 3-1 triumph over Gray-New Gloucester in a WMC boys’ soccer contest Saturday.

The Capers (4-1-1) received offensive support from Blake Barritt, who had a goal and an assist. Paul Fotter posted an unassisted goal for the Patriots (4-3-1) in the second half to prevent the shutout.

Goalie Spencer Harriman made three saves for Gray-New Gloucester, while goalie Bret Parker turned back eight to earn the win in net for Cape Elizabeth.
