AUBURN — Bedard announces that Dion Davis has been hired as store manager for Bedard Medical Equipment & Supplies at 359 Minot Ave.

Davis is a registered orthopaedic technologist through the American Society of Orthopaedic Professionals. He is certified in brace fitting and modification, able to assist customers who need specialized fittings or who have special needs that require modifications to achieve health care goals. He is also a member of Bedard’s wheelchair team, determining need and fit for patients in need of wheeled mobility.

Davis comes to Bedard with an extensive background in the medical profession. He is an emergency medical technician and has served as a combat medic and firefighter in the U.S. Army and Air Force. He has worked extensively with the Red Cross as a CPR instructor and lifeguard trainer. He is experienced in medical products research, training and development.

A graduate of the University of Maine, Davis holds bachelor of science degrees in kinesiology and in education. He recently completed a course, Fundamentals of Assistive Technology, at the Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America. He is currently preparing to become a certified assistive technology practitioner.

Davis is a resident of Lewiston.
