Class of 1949

MEXICO — Mexico High School class of 1949 will meet for lunch at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, at Dicks Restaurant. Members and guests are invited.

Elks meals

RUMFORD — The Rumford Lodge of Elks 862 sponsors a Wednesday Night Burger and Things at their lodge on 60 River St. every week. Serving takes place from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Eat in or take out. Every week the menu includes burgers, wings, chicken fingers, French fries, hand dipped onion rings and pepper rings, as well as a garden salad with fresh greens, cucumbers, onions, tomatoes, dried cranberries, feta cheese and caesar dressing.

The next meal, on Wednesday, Nov. 30, will also include hot sausage subs. The following dates and featured menu items are planned: Dec. 7, steak sandwiches; Dec. 14, chicken parmesan dinner/lasagna dinner; Dec. 21, shepherd’s pie dinner; and Dec. 28, hot sausage subs.

Elks honor departed

RUMFORD — The Rumford Lodge of Elks 862 will honor their departed members in a special ceremony that on Sunday, Dec. 4, at the lodge on 60 River St.

Those honored will include Matthew Plante, John Johnston, Thomas Theriault, Peter Perry PER, Norman Theriault, James Perry, Raymond Berryment, Thomas Bulger, Joseph Sciaraffa, Maurice LeCours, Roma LaPerle, Edward Daigle PER, David Chaisson, James Buccina and Robert Serafin.

The ceremony will take place at 11 a.m. with a lunch following for all attending. Open to all members, guests and families of departed brothers.
