LISBON — Police said an Auburn woman complained of a head injury after her Volkswagen Beetle was hit from behind on Route 196 Wednesday night.
Danielle Stone, 19, of Auburn was stopped to make a left turn when her car was hit in the back by a Volvo driven by Scott Intermont, 51, of Bath, Lisbon police officer Jeff Williams said. Both drivers were headed east.
Stone did not require immediate medical attention, he said.
Intermont was issued a summons for failure to provide evidence of insurance.
Damage was estimated at $4,000 to his 2002 Volvo and at $1,200 to Stone’s car.
The accident occurred at 6:17 p.m. in front of Pine Knoll Landscaping.
