RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Cecile (Lapointe) Cyr was celebrated Monday at Parish of the Holy Savior. Fr. Philip Tracy was the celebrant. George Gionet was the altar server and Mark Belanger was the organist. Music selections were “Be Not Afraid,” “We Will Rise Again,” “Because The Lord Is My Shepherd” and “J`irai la voir un jour.” Readings were done by her grandsons Joshua Smith and Cody Smith. Offertory gifts were presented by daughter Carol Smith and granddaughter Janelle Smith. Pink carnations were presented by all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were grandchildren Adam and Jason Richard, Jeromy and Shawn Lapointe, and Joshua and Cody Smith. Spring Interment will be in St. John Cemetery. A reception followed at the Snoe Shoe Club. Services were under the care and guidance of SG Thibault Funeral Home.
