AUBURN — This past Saturday marked the final contests of another excellent season of YMCA Biddy basketball. It also represented the final game for the following sixth-graders: Oceanna Chamberlain, Tyler Libby, Tyler Swanbeck, Julia Milks, Grace Beaudet, Hank Duval, Grant Hartley, Kirsten Main, Sarah Sterling, Jayson Taylor, Jonah Crowell, Shane Gauthier, Selina Gauthier, Jacob Kyajohnian, Madison Thistlewaite, Alex Thompson, Kyle Herald, Ben English, Emmy Lashua, Julia Masters, Abdul Mohamed, David Oken, Patrick Luizzo, Tyler Morin, Jahlen Coney, Jahvon Coney, BJ Demers, Taylor Depot, Piper Norcross, Ryan Salk, Richard Thurston and Khadar Heeban.

Special thanks to all the families and volunteers who make Biddy basketball the crown jewel of YMCA sports programs.

Junior Division

Hoop Basketball Camp 35, Leary & DeTroy 33: Jahlen Coney concluded his YMCA career with another monster game, dominating the paint and collecting 20 points to lead Hoop Camp to a win over L&D. The remaining scoring was distributed evenly among the following players: Piper Norcross (four), BJ Demers (three), Jahvon Coney (two), Taylor Depot (two), Ryan Salk (two) and Richard Thurston (two). Spencer Morrill and Camden Poisson enjoyed strong two-way games for the winners.

Again, everyone got into the act for L&D. Again, Austin Brown led the way with 13 points. Ethan Brown was next with six. Khadar Heeban and Serena Mower each added four points. Ethan Bosse, Khalid Heeban and Chantel Ouelette added two points each in the finale.

American Concrete 49, Platz Associates 39: Departing sixth-graders Patrick Luizzo and Tyler Morin burned the nets for 16 and 14 points, respectively, to lead American to a victory over Platz. Mohamed Mohamed knocked down six to support the offense. Otis Caron and Courtney Richard each added four points. Grace Fontaine chipped in three and Keegan Pelletier two. Nick Hartley and Hunter McQuade added hustle and defense to the winning mix.

Ben English went out by leading all scorers with 17 to pace Platz. Abdul Mohamed added eight and David Oken six. Joel Stubbs chipped in four with Teagan Galway and Emmy Lashua two apiece. Julia Masters played unselfishly in support of her mates.

Emerson Toyota 49, Gee & Bee Sporting Goods 29: Jacob Kyajohnian led all scorers with a season-high 20 to pace Emerson to victory over Gee & Bee. Kyle Herald added nine, Jaden Legare six and Alex Thompson six. Bobby Tremaine had a workman-like performance on the defensive end.

Caleb Yarnevich did the damage for Gee&Bee with a team-high 16 points. Other scorers for Gee&Bee were: Selina Gauthier (four), Jonah Crowell (four), Ryan Theriault (three) and Christian Beliveau (two). Shane Gauthier, Kathryn Childs and Cameron Winslow left it all on the floor with a tremendous effort.

Downeast Financial 42, Pat’s Pizza 33: Hank Duval and Grant Hartley made grand exits with 19 and 17 points, respectively, to lead Downeast to a victory over Pat’s. Sarah Sterling, Grace Beaudet and Jayson Taylor each added a bucket for the winners. Nick Davis, Katelyn Jipson and Kirsten Main were the defensive catalysts.

Tyler Swanbeck capped off a stellar season with 18 points. Josh Hamel, Dan Nalley and Devaunte Rembert added four points each. Josh Kaiser chipped in two and Tyler Libby one from the line. Oceanna Chamberlain, Julia Milks and Jade Perry added strong all-around games.

Pee Wee Division

M&P Used Auto Parts 30, Heidi’s Brooklyn Deli 28: John Shea took over, scoring eight of  his game-high 10 points in the decisive fourth quarter to lead M&P to a thrilling win in the last game of the season Saturday night. Justin Bulmer added eight and Aaron Galway six for the winners. Corey Wiers, Shane Kilby and Harrison Gray chipped in with two each. Sam Courtemanche, Josh Murphy and Joey Shea played strong all-around games.

Caroline Hammond led Heidi’s with eight points. Ben Poland and Emily Piper added six each. Connor LeClerc chipped in four. Dylan Bilodeau and Ryan Marston rounded out the scoring with a bucket each. Landon Cougle and Cameron Irish worked hard on the boards.

Sam’s Italian Sandwich Shoppe 18, Anthoine Financial Group 5: Dan Milks led all scorers with eight points and Hunter Young added four to lead Sam’s past Anthoine. Kora Martel, RJ Nichols and Matt Scholer added a bucket each in the win. Nick Kaiser, Madisyn Turcotte and Ben Webber helped to stifle the opposing offense.

Lindsay Adams and Nick Gagne led Anthoine with two points each. Olivia Ouellette kicked in one from the line. Jordan Cummings, Marshal Adams, Anson Perry and Ella Perry led the never quit effort for Anthoine.

Morrison & Sylvester 20, Hahnel Bros. 18: Ethan Chute and Joey Vallee tossed in 8 points each to lead M&S to a win over Hahnel. Addison Dostie added the final markers for the winners. Calvin Ames, Tyler Murray, Alex Thistlewaite, Finnegan Thistle and Cooper Watkins led the defensive effort.

Ben Sirois led Hahnel with six points. Luke Josephson and Matt Metivier each added five. Declan Giroux closed out the scoring with a bucket. Tristin Blossom, Trevor Bosse and Jacob Jackson added toughness on the boards.

Sun Journal 19, CB Bachmann 15: Devonte Scott exploded for 16 points to lead SJ past Bachmann. Jamaine Luizzo chipped in with three. Cayden Childs, Andrea Demers, Elijah Demers, Emily Kramarz, Noah Peck and Ari Perry provided the defensive intensity for the winners.

Dominick Jacobs led Bachmann with eight points. Mike Chaput was next with four. Dylan Sellinger chipped in with two and Hannah Chaput one. Jack Hart, Tyler Jalbert, Fiona King, Austin Sellinger and Caroline White played well on both ends of the floor.

Hammond Lumber 32, Austin Associates 22: Max Creaser’s 18 points led Hammond Lumber to a win over Austin. Quincy Coachman and Tyson Green added four points each. Michelle Cowie, Liam Flynn and Cameron Langis rounded out the scoring with a bucket each. Brady Cox, Aiden Hebert and Rylen Schenk were defensive catalysts for the winners.

Chase Martin, Julia Berube and Lydia Celani shared top honors for Austin with six points each. Elizabeth Marcotte and JJ Brooker added two each. Caleb Davis, Libby Forgues and Owen Hamel added hustle and grit to the effort.

Hammond Lumber 32, M&P Used Auto Parts 19: Hammond upended M&P in a Friday night make-up contest behind Max Creaser’s game-high 19 points. Quincy Coachman had a strong game with eight points. Tyson Green, Liam Flynn and Aiden Hebert completed the scoring with two each. Michelle Cowie, Brady Cox, Cameron Langis and Rylen Schenk set the tone on the defensive end.

Corey Wiers led M&P with six points. Justin Bulmer and John Shea added four each. Aaron Galway had three and Josh Murphy two to round out the scoring. Sam Courtemanche, Harrison Gray, Shane Kilby and Joey Shea added hustle and hard work on the glass.
