RUMFORD — Tyler Brown stroked a two run double in the top of the ninth inning to lift Telstar to an 11-9 victory over Mountain Valley in MVC baseball action on Monday.
Mountain Valley tied the game with three runs in the bottom of the seventh behind Telstar walks and miscues in the field. Despite being out hit 10-8, the Rebels (7-1) piled on the extra base hits getting doubles from Dan Whitney and a second from Brown, Nick Mills and Corey Howard each ripped solo home runs while Kurt Morgan smashed a three run shot in the fourth inning.
Mountain Valley (5-4) was led by Ryan Nichols three hits including a double and a triple. Aaron Benson followed with a single and a double.
Lisbon 1, Mt. Abram 0
LISBON — Jo Osmond scored the eventual game-winning run as Lisbon bit Mt. Abram 1-0 in baseball action Monday.
The pitchers were in excellent form throughout the game. Josh Beedy struck out four and only allowed one run for the Roadrunners when Osmond crossed the plate on a groundout to the shortstop by Dalton Dunphy in the fourth inning.
Kyle Bourget earned his first pitching victory of the season with eight strikeouts, while giving up four hits and two walks for the Greyhounds.
Oxford Hills 6, Edward Little 1
PARIS — Matt Beauchesne and Brandon Campbell rapped a pair of doubles each and Ryan Chickering allowed only one run on six hits in a complete-game effort as Oxford Hills topped Edward Little 6-1 in KVAC baseball action Monday.
Dylan Cox also had a double and a single for the Vikings (8-2), and Campbell finished with three hits, as did Nick Attaliades-Ryan.
Nate Blais led the way for Edward Little with a triple and two singles. Nate Pushard took the loss on the hill for the Red Eddies (5-7).
Buckfield 6, Old Orchard Beach 5
BUCKFIELD — Dustin Damon popped two hits and drove in three runs to lead Buckfield to a 6-5 victory over Old Orchard Beach.
Buckfield (8-0) scored four times in the fifth to rally from a 5-2 deficit and held on from there with Alan Lebel picking up the save in two scoreless innings of relief. Dan Bomeau picked up the loss on the mound despite striking out nine and leading the Seagulls (2-7) with two hits.
St. Dom’s 9, Carrabec 6
AUBURN — A two-run triple by Jimmy Theriault in the fourth inning put the Saints far enough ahead to eventually secure a 9-6 victory over Carrabec in MVC baseball action Monday.
The Saints (8-3) took a 4-0 lead in the second inning when Drew Gosselin singled in a pair of runs.
Christian Miller brought the Cobras (1-7) to within striking distance with a two-run single in the fourth inning.
Carrabec trailed by just one before St. Dom’s rallied for four runs in the bottom of the frame.
Waterville 5, Leavitt 1
WATERVILLE — Waterville took advantage of Leavitt walks and executed some timely hitting to down the Hornets 5-1 in KVAC baseball action.
Waterville (9-1) pushed across a run in the first and two in each of the third and fourth innings behind Edmund Fitzgerald’s two singles and Rick Wood’s double.
Jake Ouellette was responsible for Leavitt’s lone score belting a solo home run in the sixth. Seth Gordon earned the win on the mound while Josh Bunker took the loss for Leavitt (5-5).
Spruce Mountain 10, Winthrop 9
WINTHROP — Despite giving up eight unearned runs, Spruce Mountain was one better than Winthrop sending them to defeat with a 10-9 victory in MVC baseball action Monday.
Ben Keene paced the Phoenix (6-5) with a single and a double. Evan Castonguay notched the victory while Tyler Foster took the loss for the Ramblers (5-3). Drew Stratton collected three singles while Mario Meucci had a double in the loss.

Gray-NG 2
GRAY — Greely remained undefeated pounding out 10 hits en route to a 9-2 victory over Gray-Gloucester in WMC baseball.
Jonah Normandeau, Peter Stauber, Bailey Train, and Luke Saffian each had a single and a double apiece, collecting eight of the Rangers (9-0) ten hits. Aaron Grondin had a pair of singles for the Patriots (6-4).
Poland 11, Fryeburg 1
POLAND — Poland pushed nine runs across the plate in the third inning to break a 1-1 tie on their way to a 11-1 victory over Fryeburg in five innings.
The Knights (3-6) were led by Jake Simard’s three hits including a double. Dillon Douglass, Kaleb Bridgham, and Jed Quint all followed with a pair of singles each.
Quint grabbed the victory, yielding two hits while fanning nine.
