MADISON, N.J. — Shandra Ellen McManus of Lewiston received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Drew University on May 12 at the university’s 144th commencement.
WINSTON SALEM, N.C. — Cameron Leary from Auburn received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wake Forest University during commencement exercises May 21.
NEWTON, Mass. — Mount Ida College conferred 223 bachelor’s degrees and 63 associate degrees to undergraduates at the 113th commencement held on May 18, with special guest and commencement speaker U.S. Sen. John Kerry. The following students graduated:

James Buzzell of Leeds received a degree from Ithaca College’s School of Humanities and Sciences with a major in philosophy.
Michele Fortier of Lewiston received a degree from Ithaca College’s School of Communications with a major in cinema and photography.
Abigail Gilbert of New Gloucester received a degree from Ithaca College’s School of Health Sciences and Human Performance with a major in health sciences.
