FARMINGTON — The Healthy Community Coalition has announced the first 15 winners in the fourth annual Winter Windfall raffle. The raffle is sponsored by Franklin Community Health Network.

Congratulations to Randy Oliver, $50 gift certificate to Lotus Blossom Chinese Restaurant; Scottie Hall, $20 gift certificate for one pound of hand-dipped chocolates from “A Chocolate A Day”; Paula Lumb, sleigh/wagon ride in the Kingfield area; Cheryl Knighton, $25 gift certificate to Birchwood Interiors and a homemade Lindy’s Famous New York Cheesecake; Melissa Plourde, $25 savings account to Bangor Savings.

Also, Brenda Landry, three-month membership to UMF Health & Recreation Center; Megan Riley, $25 gift certificate to Thai Smile Restaurant; Pamela Hadley, 30-minute massage at Western Maine Chiropractic and Sports Injury; Lori Smith, two lift tickets to Sunday River; Kathy Wells, two one-hour beginner horseback riding lessons.

Also, Drew Stanley, $50 gift certificate to Calzolaio Pasta Company; Becky Nelson, two tickets to Kingfield Pops and Noel Paul Stukey CD; Doug Hiltz, $50 gift certificate to The Rack; Lisa Barrieau, $25 gift certificate to Riverside Greenhouse & Florist; Jay Naliboff, Sugarloaf lift ticket and one ski tune-up; and Rudy Quynn, basket of homemade jams and baked goods.

According to Janis Walker, FCHN interim director of development, “There are many great prizes yet to be won.” Tickets are available until the end of January. Upcoming prizes include a Saddleback mini-vacation for four; a 32-inch LCD HD TV; an Oral-B PC 5000 electric toothbrush kit; area business and restaurant certificates such as Hammond Lumber, LL Bean and the Homestead Bakery; ski passes to Sugarloaf, and more.

By donating $10 per ticket to HCC, the donor will be eligible for 31 prizes to be drawn daily throughout January. The Winter Windfall raffle has quickly become a popular annual event. Most prizes are valued at least $50 and it is possible for a person to win multiple times as all winning tickets are reentered into the drawing daily.

Tickets for Winter Windfall are available from any HCC staff or board member, the FCHN Development Office at 105 Mt. Blue Circle in Farmington, or by printing out and mailing in the form found at www.fchn.org/news.
