LEWISTON — The Lewiston Bridge Club winners on April 16 at the Lewiston Armory were as follows: first, Patricia Garcia and David Lock; second, Nancy Lindgren and Les Buzzell; third, Hazel Glazier and Pete Cummings; fourth, Claire Lyons and Luke Merry.

Mother-son dance planned

LISBON FALLS — The second annual Mother-Son Mother’s Day Dance will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, May 11, at the MTM Center.

Advance tickets are $10 per couple and $5 each additional child. Tickets will be on sale from April 22 through May 8 at the Rec Department at the Center. Prices at the door are $15 per couple and $5 each additional child.

There will be a DJ, dancing, refreshments and door prizes, as well as mother-son portraits available by a professional photographer.

Baked bean, ham supper April 27

LISBON FALLS — The Methodist Women will host a home-baked bean and ham supper from 5 to 6 p.m., Saturday, April 27, at Lisbon Methodist Church, School Street.

Cost is $7 for adults, $3 for ages 6 to 12, and free for ages 5 and under.

Indoor yard, bake sale April 27

MONMOUTH — An indoor yard and bake sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 27, in the East Monmouth Church vestry and church basement, Route 135.

The sale will feature a variety of household items, furniture, dishes, children’s items, sporting goods, books, collectibles, electronics, tools, wide assortment of jewelry and miscellanea all in clean, working condition.

Special items include an antique pot belly wood/coal parlor stove newly nickeled, drop leaf harvest table, school desk, chidren’s furniture, antique chairs, new porcelain kitchen sink, varied and quality pieces of jewelry, floor rugs in good condition, lamps, English china, blue glassware, rug braiding wool/equipment, vintage quilts, puzzles, inflatable boat, new free standing basketball hoop, table waterfall, light fixtures, motorcycle seats and bags and more.

Lobster rolls, crab rolls, grilled hot dogs, fish chowder and delicious home baked goods will be available for sale.

Potluck will welcome minister

POLAND — A potluck supper and introduction of a new minister will take place at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, April 27, at Poland Community Church, Route 26. The community is welcome.

Sabattus Seniors meeting, trips

SABATTUS — The Sabattus Seniors will meet Thursday, May 2, at Maxwell Gill Hall.

Lunch will be a two-piece chicken dinner with all the fixings and apple pie for dessert from Kentucky Fried Chicken. To sign up or to cancel, call Pauline at 375-4037 no later than April 27.

Trips are being planned to Foster’s Clam Bake in York, to Washington, D.C., Foxwoods/Twin River Casino with show, Indian Head Resort dinner and Christmas party. For more information on these trips, call Jean at 784-5264
