Turkey dinner at Odd Fellows Hall

LISBON — A  roast turkey dinner will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 24, at the Odd Fellows Hall, 27 Village St.

Cost is $7 for adults, $3.50 for 12 and under, free for preschool. The meal is sponsored by Nina Rebekah Lodge 86 and Sabattus River Lodge 21 IOOF.

Church hosting chicken barbecue

DURHAM —  First Congregational Church of Durham UCC, 773 Royalsborough Road, will host a chicken barbecue from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Saturday, June 1. On the menu are barbecued chicken, green salad, potato salad, rolls, beverage and homemade pies. Cost is adults, $9; children 6 to 12, $3; and 5 and under, free. Proceeds benefit the church.

Clover to hold senior living series

AUBURN — Clover Health Care, 440 Minot Ave., will host a senior living series featuring speakers sharing useful information for families seeking support in coordinating future plans for elderly loved ones.

The series will begin Tuesday, June 4, with guest speaker, Laura Hall, state official, facilitating a discussion about the Mainecare application process.

On June 11, Lorraine Lachapelle, representative of Goold, will be on hand to demystify the evaluation of people for assisted living and nursing home care.

The series will wrap on June 18 with elder law attorney Kathleen Kienitz. Kientitz has a practice working with seniors and their families to navigate the laws as they relate to financial preparations and estate planning.
