LEWISTON — The Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce will host “Food Safety in the Modern World,” a chamber Brown Bag Discussion, from noon to 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 10, at its offices at 415 Lisbon St.

The seminar is free and will be presented by Michele Pfannenstiel DMV of Dirigo Quality Meats, a food safety consulting firm in Maine.

The seminar will introduce attendees to food safety and provide an opportunity for questions for anyone involved with food.

Pfannenstiel received her doctor of veterinary medicine from the University of Georgia with a focus on public health. She served as an officer in the U.S. Army doing food safety and inspection.
