The Franklin County Chamber of Commerce recently held a Business After Hours on Thursday, July 18, at Rustic Roots Farm on Route 2 in Farmington.

Rustic Roots is a small-scale farm producing organically grown mixed vegetables. In its first season, Rustic Roots was founded by Erica Emery, a Farmington native who had experience working on an organic farm in Boston for the past two years.

Those attending the Business After Hours had the opportunity to learn more about the backbone of her business which is community-supported agriculture farm shares.

Emery also took the group on a walking tour of the farm, explaining the organic growing process and types of foods they grow. Rustic Roots shared a delicious spread of foods made from fresh ingredients from their fields while also providing locally made wine from Wild Fern Winery of Farmington and other drinks from Ron’s Market of Farmington.
