Halloween party at town hall

CHESTERVILLE —  The Chesterville Halloween Party will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30. The public is invited to join the fun at the Chesterville Town Office, Dutch Gap Road.

Events will include games, crafts, a costume parade, hayrides and haunted barn. The North Chesterville Extension Homemakers is sponsoring the event. For more information, call 778-3156.

Passport dinner at Spaceport

EAST WILTON — A Passport Dinner will take place at the Wilson Spaceport (Wilson Grange) at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25.

Calling all intergalactic travelers. Wilson Spaceport 321 is taking reservation for journeys into the far reaches of outer space.

While waiting for the starships to disembark, there will be a dinner of celestial delicacies such as Cassiopeian Cockerel, (we’re not sure what that is, but we are told it tastes like chicken). It will be served on Klingon Gach slithering in a green creamy substance and with a satellite of vegetables, Yoda soda and more.

Reservations are a must and can be made by responding to this transmission or by communicating over the telephone after inputting the numbers, 645-3676.

Dress in normal earth attire or wear something extraterrestrial.

UMF holding graduate school fair

FARMINGTON — University of Maine at Farmington will hold a Graduate School Fair from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, in the North Dining Hall of the UMF Olsen Student Center. The event is free and open to the public.

Representatives from 16 regional graduate schools will be present to provide information about their graduate programs, as well as share information about the application process and answer questions.

Participating organizations include: Antioch University New England, Assumption College, Boston University, Goddard College, Husson University, Johnson State University, Roger Williams University School of Law, Southern New Hampshire University, Suffolk University, University of Maine at Farmington, University of Maine, University of Maine School of Law, University of New England, University of New Hampshire, University of New Hampshire School of Law and University of Southern Maine.
