The Minot Historical Society will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, at the West Minot Grange Hall. There will be planning and preparation for the arrival of Sea G. Rhydr (Sea Gieser), who is doing the same route in reverse from California to Minot that Mesannie Wilkins took beginning in 1954. Anyone interested in this event is invited to attend with ideas. Among possible events are a horse parade, baked bean meal and a visit to the homestead lot on Jackass Annie Road. For more information, call Julie at 345-9833 or Hester at 345-3040. At the first planning meeting at West Minot Grange were, from left, front, Jacob Hart, Steve Bressler, Beverly Bressler, Beverly Spofford, Mary Buker, George Buker; back, Julie Goodell, Sebastien Chamberlain, Donna Berry. Present, but not in photo, were David Gilpatric and Hester Gilpatric.
