JAY — Selectpersons will discuss appointing a resident to the RSU 73 Board of Directors at their next meeting, Town Manager Ruth Cushman said Thursday.
The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Nov. 25 at the Town Office.
Anyone interested in serving on the RSU 73 board is asked to call the Town Office at 897-6785.
Director Clint Brooks recently resigned. He was elected in a write-in vote in June to a three-year term. He previously served on the Jay School Committee.
The board would most likely appoint a resident to serve on the school board until the next election in June 2014, Cushman said.
A two-year position on the RSU 73 board would then be up for election to finish out Brooks term.
