Authorities say 49-year-old Jeffrey Andrew Noonan of Saco died shortly after going into medical distress at about 6:30 a.m. Sunday. He had been taken for medical treatment the previous day.

Noonan had been arrested last Thursday on a warrant for failure to appear for a charge of unlawful possession of scheduled drugs.

Per protocol as mandated by the state attorney general’s office, the death will be investigated by Maine State Police.
