St. Pierre
LEWISTON — The 50th wedding anniversary of Richard and Rella St. Pierre of Lewiston, was recently celebrated. Mr. St. Pierre knew and planned the event with neighbors, Jackie, Lisa and Mary Ann, who decorated their house. He then took his wife to the mall with Diane.
When they came back from the mall, Mrs. St. Pierre was surprised and shocked, with over 40 people in their house. The lunch was prepared by Mike Gagne and Mrs. St. Pierre’s sister, Lillian, brought the cake.
The couple was married on Jan. 18, 1964, at Saints Peter and Paul Chapel. They had two special daughters, Diane, who lives at home and Debra, who passed away in 1997.
Mr. St. Pierre is retired from Hostess and Wonder Bread. Mrs. St. Pierre is a homemaker. Both volunteer at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center as valet parkers.
