LEWISTON — Police said a woman was in critical condition Tuesday night at Massachusetts General Hospital with injuries from an apparent fall from a third-story apartment window on Lisbon Street on Monday night.
Samantha Watson, 27, was found outside 393 Lisbon St. by police responding to a call for a woman with severe head injuries. She was rushed to a Lewiston hospital and later flown to Massachusetts, police said.
Thomas Taylor, a resident on the first floor of the building, said he had just come home from work and saw the woman on the ground between the building and a guardrail in a parking lot at about 9:15 p.m.
Taylor said some friends on the first floor said they had heard a loud bang five minutes before he saw the woman on the ground.
According to Taylor, the woman and her boyfriend had lived in the apartment for about a week-and-a-half.
Police said the incident remains under investigation.
“We’re looking at all possibilities,” Lt. Michael McGonagle said.
