LEWISTON — Jodi L. Nofsinger, Esq., a partner at Berman & Simmons, was inducted on March 8 as a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, one of the premier legal associations in America. She joins law partners Julian L. Sweet, Esq., and Steven D. Silin, Esq., in her membership to the College. She is only the third woman attorney in Maine to be chosen by invitation to the College.

Fellowship in the College is extended by invitation only after careful investigation to those experienced trial lawyers who have mastered the art of advocacy and whose professional careers have been marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility and collegiality. Lawyers must have a minimum of 15 years trial experience before they can be considered for Fellowship. Membership in the College is limited to one percent of the lawyers in an individual state.

Nofsinger has been a partner at Berman & Simmons since 2003. She is a member of the Maine Trial Lawyers Association Board of Governors and a past president. She represents clients in personal injury and medical malpractice cases throughout Maine.
