Tourism Network meets March 20

KINGFIELD — The Franklin County Tourism Network will hold its quarterly meeting from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday, March 20, at Herbert Grand Hotel.

Discussion will include 2014 marketing plan, Governors Conference on Tourism and Motor Coach Network profile sheet deadline extension.

Benefit for Janice Farrington

JAY — There will be a benefit luncheon from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 6, for Janice Farrington, who has been diagnosed with sarcoma cancer. After five weeks of radiation therapy while in the hospital, she lost the use of her right hand and arm.

The event will be held at Frank L. Mitchell VFW Post 3335, at the corner of Jewell Street and Franklin Road. The cost will be $7 per person. There will be music and raffles.
