AUBURN — A Chevrolet SUV driven by Joan Fournier of Sabattus was pulling out onto Route 4 from Hathaway Street when it collided with a Volkswagen sedan westbound on Route 4 at about 7:15 p.m. Saturday, said Lyn Carroll of Chesapeake, Va., a passenger in the SUV. The sedan drove across a lawn, sideswiped a utility pole and came to rest in the woods. One of the four people in the sedan was taken to a Lewiston hospital with a complaint of back and neck pain, said Auburn Fire Department Lt. Don Therrien. All four people in the SUV declined to be transported. Fournier was treated at the scene for bruising on her left arm.
