BANGOR — A plane carrying a patient with Ebola landed in Bangor on Tuesday morning to refuel on its way to an Atlanta hospital.

The plane, expected to carry missionary Nancy Writebol, is a specially outfitted medical transport plane. An earlier flight had carried Dr. Kent Brantly, who was also infected with Ebola. As with Brantly, Writebol will be treated by infectious disease specialists in a special isolation ward at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, according to SIM USA, a Christian missionary group.
