WINN (AP) — Three people were seriously injured when two SUVs collided head-on in Winn.

State police told The Bangor Daily News (http://bit.ly/1sq5Xnt ) that the three victims were flown to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor after Monday afternoon’s accident on Route 2.

Troopers say 29-year-old Brad Curtis of Passadumkeag was driving an SUV that crossed the center line and struck another SUV driven by 64-year-old Lois Smart of Mattawamkeag.

Curtis, Smart and Smart’s husband, David Smart, were all injured. A nursing supervisor declined to comment on the victims’ conditions.

The cause of the crash is under investigation. Troopers said it appears Curtis’ vehicle crossed the center line, based on the skid marks and where the vehicles ended up.
