The family of Jacqueline Vaillancourt, from left to right, Shannon Roy, Diane Vaillancourt-Tarr, Irene Roy, Greg Vaillancourt, Josh Roy and Arlene Bilodeau, release monarch butterflies in her memory at the sixth annual Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice Butterfly Release Celebration on Saturday in Auburn. According to Danielle Eaton, marketing and development liaison at Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice, more than 500 butterflies were released, and 100 percent of the proceeds will benefit patient care and family support. “We really feel strongly that everybody deserves to be in a beautiful place like the Hospice House, or to receive that care at home, no matter how much money is in their pocketbook,” Eaton said.” We all deserve that graceful, peaceful end-of-life care. This fundraiser ensures we can provide that for all qualified people.” To see a video from the release, please visit sunjournal.com/2014AHCHbutterflyrelease.
