STRONG — While an owner of a vehicle parked on the side of Route 4 was tubing down the Sandy River on Sunday, someone smashed a window and stole a pocketbook, Franklin County Lt. David Rackliffe said.
A rock was used to break a passenger window to get into the vehicle and steal the purse, he said.
Deputy Andrew Morgan is investigating.
The vehicle was parked near Tyler’s Auto Body.
