Last year: Boys: Fifth at MVCs, 10th at Class C West regionals. Girls: MVC champions, 6th at Class C West regionals, 13th at Class C states.
Returning athletes: Boys: Senior — Jeffery Willey; Juniors — Nick Harriman, Jordan Cole, Brett Carter, Sophomores — Mike Schlotterbeck, Silas Crosby. Girls: Juniors — Bree Sautter, Caitlyn Bundy.
Key losses: Girls — Adrianna White, Allie Lycette, Kaylin Lee, Bailey Eveson.
Season outlook: The girls are coming off last year’s MVC championship but lost several key runners, so it is likely that the remaining girls will be running as individuals. Sautter and Bundy are veteran racers and should do very well this season. The boys have everyone back and have worked hard in the offseason. They look to be a strong group and should do well in conference and regional meets, hoping to get back to states. The goal is to be in the top five at MVCs.
