FARMINGTON — A local man faces a number of charges and violations after an off-duty officer saw him driving a motorcycle Tuesday on Front Street and knew that his driver’s license had been revoked for being an habitual offender, police secretary Bonnie Pomeroy said.
Officer Derrick Doucette saw Michael Tracy, 49, of Farmington driving an off-road bike down Front Street to McDonald’s restaurant, she said.
Tracy was arrested on charges of operating after suspension and violation of condition of release.
He was also issued summonses on several traffic violations, including driving an unregistered, uninspected and uninsured motorcycle, Pomeroy said.
The other violations included the bike having no taillight and no plate light, operating an off-road motorcycle without proper headgear and having no turn signal.
Tracy was taken to the Franklin County jail in Farmington. No bail was listed as of Wednesday afternoon.
