It was refreshing when Eric Brakey, candidate for Maine Senate, visited my house. While I have enjoyed seeing him on stage at Community Little Theatre, it was even better to speak with him at my door about the issues that concern me.
Brakey has deep roots in my community, going back five generations. He works for his family business, Brakey Energy.
As someone who works with seniors, I appreciate his understanding and compassion for the older generation. Brakey cares about the plight of seniors on a fixed income. He appreciates the struggle they face with ever-increasing taxes, and the rising cost of groceries, health care, insurance, heat and electricity. All of these costs are driven up by failures in government, and he knows that none are hit harder than seniors on fixed incomes.
Eric Brakey is serious about supporting senior citizens, so he has my vote.
