1948 – 2014

AUBURN — Erlon Randall Pike, 66, of Oxford, died on Saturday, Oct. 11, at the Hospice House. He was the husband of Lois A. (Wilkins) Pike.

He was born in Lewiston on Sept. 23, 1948, a son of the late Erlon A. Pike and Theva C. (Fickett) Pike of New York. Erlon was a lifelong resident of Oxford.

He worked as the manager of Bear Paw Timber in Waterford for many years and also managed the Oxford Transfer Station, until his retirement.

Erlon enjoyed raising and working his oxen in the woods and showing them at the fairs. He also loved music and dancing on Saturday nights. He was always ready to stop and have a conversation with anyone.

Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by his sister, Sharon Seamon, of Oxford; his four children, James Pike and his wife, Paula, Coleen Toothaker, Mildred Kenney and her husband, David, and Enid Cummings; as well as 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He also leaves his stepmother, Nellie Pike; six half-brothers and -sisters, Alvin, Gordon, Julie, Lorie, Faith and Trudy; and his cousin, Bion, of Waterford.

He was also predeceased by his first wife, Anita, and his grandson, Jared Toothaker.
