1947 – 2014

Fairless Hills, Pa. — Eugene L. “Larry” Plante, 67, formerly of Fairless Hills, Pa. and Lewiston, died on Friday, Sept. 12, at Hollidaysburg Veterans Home in Hollidaysburg, Pa.

He was born in Lewiston on Jan. 10, 1947, and returned to live there in 2001.

Larry, as he was known, graduated from Pennsbury High School and Lower Bucks Technical School, Class of 1966. He worked as a diesel mechanic for I.U.O.E. of Eastern Pennsylvania, until his retirement in 2001.

His sister, Dolores Jones became his guardian in 2009 and moved him to Pennsylvania for his health care. Also known as “Blubby,” when he was one of the originating members of the “Breed” Motorcycle Club in Levittown, Pa. Larry served in the U.S. Army from 1966 through 1969, stationed in the United States and Hanau, Germany.
Larry was interested in panning for gold and enjoyed cars, kids, music, family gatherings and food — all kinds.

Larry is survived by his two sons, Brian and wife, Karen (Kuleski), grandson, Brian Plante Jr., two step-grandsons from Morrisville, Pa., Daniel Plante and his fiancee, Amy Mina from Holmes, Pa.; three sisters, Dolores (Plante-Culin) Jones and her husband, Jeffrey L. Jones, of Everett, Pa., Theresa Plante Bollinger and her husband, Floyd Allen, JoAnn Plante Marmero of Levittown, Pa.; a brother, Micheal Plante and his wife, Darlene (Fitzwater), of New Sweden; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Abraham E. and Laurette (Mercier) Plante; and his brother, Ronald A. Plante.
