WALES — School officials were cleaning up and accessing damage after a pipe burst Monday morning at the Oak Hill High School auditorium.

Superintendent James Hodgkin said the pipe burst at 6:40 a.m., setting off the building’s alarms and causing a slight delay in the first wave of arriving students for the morning.

“It’s from age, it had nothing to do with the weather,” he said.

The Wales Fire Department responded to the school. The auditorium typically isn’t used during the day, Hodgkin said.
