CAPE ELIZABETH — Officials have released the name of the woman who died in a fire in Cape Elizabeth.

Maine State Police say 65-year-old Lamy Alkurdy was pronounced dead at the scene Friday afternoon.

Firefighters attempted CPR but were unsuccessful.

Officials say the fire began in the kitchen of a condominium on Starboard Drive. Several fire departments responded to douse the blaze.
