UPDATED 12:10 P.M.: Maine Turnpike officials reducded speed limits to 45 mph on the turnpike from the New Gloucester Barrier Toll at Mile 67 to the end of the turnpike at Mile 109.
Maine State Police asked for the reduced speed because of blowing snow on Interstate 95.
UPDATED 11:20 A.M.: Two crashes involving several vehicles in the southbound lanes of Interstate 95 has slowed traffic Monday morning.
The Maine DOT reported the first about 9:15 a.m. at Mile 93 in Litchfield. Emergency vehicles were on the scene.
The second was reported about 11 a.m. at Mile 77 in Auburn. State police called for an ambulance.
