SABATTUS — Selectman Jeff Baril will oversee a town manager search committee, the board announced Tuesday.

The process will likely take one to two months.

Any resident who would like to be on the committee is asked to contact Town Clerk Suzanne Adams by Aug. 31 at 375-4104 or at the Town Hall at 190 Middle Road. Selections will be made Sept. 1.

Interim Town Manager Tony Ward said he is anticipating applying for the job, so his participation in the hiring procedure will be minimal.

The board unanimously appointed Adam Dorman to the Regional School Unit 4 board to finish the term of Will Fessenden, who resigned. The term expires in November.

Dorman has expressed interest in seeking election to the board in November.

A contract was signed with H.C. Crooker & Sons to repair a 1¼-mile stretch of Jordan Bridge Road, ending at the turnpike overpass. The work will take one or two days and be done between Sept. 14 and Oct. 9.

The selectmen meeting scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 1, will be an executive session.
