EAST WILTON — Funeral services for Stephen L. Lancaster were held on Saturday, Sept. 12, at the East Wilton Union Church with the Rev. Robbie Locke officiating.
Together the congregation sang “It is Well with My Soul” and several people shared words of remembrance. As part of the service, a memorial video put together by Steve’s daughter-in-law, Carrie Lancaster, was viewed. Katherine Richard served as the organist and pallbearers included Stephen Lancaster Jr., Matthew Lancaster, Al Lancaster, Ryan Cook, Dana Lancaster, Johnny Korhonen, and honorary pall bearer, TJ Plourde.
Immediately following the service, a reception was held at the parish hall.
The funeral procession was led by four motorcyclists. A committal ceremony was held at Fairview Cemetery in Farmington, where Steve was buried perfectly aligned with the finish line of the Farmington Fairgrounds racetrack. Military honors were rendered by Camp Keyes of Augusta, and his wife, Julie received a flag for his faithful and honorable service. To leave an online condolence, please visit www.wilesrc.com.
