Sabattus Seniors to meet

SABATTUS — The Sabattus Seniors will host a Christmas party at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 3, at Pelletier Hall.

Cancellations must made by calling Pauline at 207-375-4037 Thursday, Nov 19.

During inclement weather, the Seniors will cancel events when schools in Sabattus close.

AUBURN — The Auburn United Methodist Church is holding its annual Christmas fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, at 439 Park Ave.

There will be plenty of food as well as baked goods, homemade candy, jewelry, books, handmade crafts, Christmas decorations, a white elephant room, games an puzzles.

Life insurance workshop offered

AUBURN — The Corporate and Community Services Department at Central Maine Community College will offer a single day workshop, “Life Insurance: Term vs. Whole Life” from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2.

This Maine Money Academy workshop explains the differences between term life and other types of permanent life insurance, such as whole life, equity indexed life, etc. The goal is to help consumers make informed decisions when selecting life insurance policies that best meet their needs. Cases studies and basic strategies will be included, and each participant will generate a real insurance quote, both term and permanent.

Registration for this course is open and ongoing, but space is limited. The cost for this two-hour session is $19. Deadline for registration is Nov. 25.

Hope Haven Thanksgiving dinner

LEWISTON — Hope Haven Gospel Mission will be hosting its annual Thanksgiving dinner between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 26, at 209 Lincoln St.

All are welcome.

This meal will also be available to people who are shut-in. A meal can be delivered by calling 207-783-6086.
