RANGELEY — The town has received nine applications for the police chief position, Administrative Assistant Traci Pitt said Friday.
The deadline for applications was Wednesday, Dec. 2.
Interviews will be set up with some candidates.
A hiring panel made up of selectpersons, community members, law enforcement representatives, the town’s human resource officer and Town Manager Tim Pellerin will be assembled, Pitt said.
Former Police Chief Dennis Leahy retired Nov. 1. He had been chief since 2008.
