FARMINGTON — Maine Inland Fisheries and Wildlife biologist Danielle D’Auria will present on “Longlegs: The herons of Maine” at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, in Room 101 of the Roberts Learning Center at the University of Maine at Farmington.
Easily seen while in flight and easily missed while standing in a marsh, herons are common inhabitants of wetlands throughout Maine. The species, like so many others, is common enough to be easily taken for granted. However, herons live with no more guarantee of success in a changing world than any other species.
This program is free and open to the public.
